Where We’re Going

One of the best parts of this dance is that it's always taking us somewhere new.

Sometimes that's a weekly class. Sometimes it's a festival, a performance, or a weekend spent dancing alongside old friends and new ones.

This is where you'll find our upcoming classes, performances, workshops, festivals, and community events. Whether you'd like to dance with us, come cheer us on, or invite us to be part of something you're creating, we'd love to see you along the way.

Whether you're joining a class, cheering from the audience, or looking for partners for your next event, we'd love to meet you somewhere along the journey.

💜 Weekly Classes

Our first session was such a hit, that we are back to sling more hips for a second session! During these weekly classes, students are building a strong foundation in FCBD® Style while learning the shared movement vocabulary that makes synchronized group improvisation so special.

Our next Foundations session will begin in October and registration will open later in September 2026

💜 Special Event!

I had been invited to join DeAnna Freeman for a podcast episode with FCBDU! We talked about what it means to be a new teacher in this artform and the road I took in getting here.

Along with taking workshops and performing, it's a chance to reconnect with many of our favorite dancers from the west side of Washington and spend a weekend celebrating the community that makes this dance so special.

This year's event features workshops with Melody Orullian Bustillos and Moria Chappell, along with Moria's newest gala production, The Dark Fairy.

Let's Create Something Together

Some of our favorite adventures have started with a simple invitation.

We believe some of the best dance experiences happen when communities come together. Whether you're planning a performance, workshop weekend, cultural celebration, fundraiser, community festival, or simply have an idea you'd like to explore, we'd love to hear from you.

Project HipSlingers is always excited to share the stage, support fellow troupes, and help create memorable experiences for dancers and audiences alike.

Have an idea? We’d love to hear it!
